The Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer determines the Council Tax year end surplus of the Council’s estimated Collection Fund 2019/20. 

The calculation of the estimated surplus (or deficit) uses the most up to date information (i.e. end of December 2019) which is not available until the end of the first week in January, as such, this decision has been made exempt from Call In by the Chair of the Resources and Governance Scrutiny Committee in order to comply with the statutory requirement to notify precepting authorities in January 2020.
