The Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer approves the appointment of  a provider to deliver Commercial Office Furniture and Furniture Services.

The contract is to be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender as a result of a competitive tender process for the Provision of Commercial Office Furniture and Furniture Services and will be used by all MCC departments to purchase “business as usual” office furniture.

 It will also be used to supply FF&E for larger estates led projects, which are part of the wider corporate strategy.  The value is based on pipeline projects and previous yearly spend. 

Over its lifetime, the contract will ensure MCC will have access to a wide range of sustainably sourced furniture products, from a number of manufacturers. This will give the flexibility needed to respond to changing design and workspace trends.  

It will also ensure that frequently bought products are purchased at the best price, are standardised in terms of design and are of robust quality, which is essential in terms of sustainability and to maximise useful life.”
