To agree the Council’s policy and approach to delivering financial support to businesses as part of the Additional Restrictions Grant

The Leader agrees:-

1          That Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) will be administered by the Council using the government funding based on the detail contained within the body of the officer’s report.

2.         That the ongoing, detailed administration and decision-making of the main and sub-schemes detailed in the report be delegated to the Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer.

3.         That schemes will be launched from 10 February 2021 and they will be reviewed on a regular basis to consider the budget position and the status of the economy and the covid related local and national restrictions, and that the authority to continue or close any scheme be delegated to the Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer in consultation with the Leader of the Council.

4.         The grant amounts and the prioritisation approach for grants, cognisant of the government funding that is available.
