To set the 2020/21 Business Rates Base.

The Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer determines the calculation of the Council’s business rate income.

The calculation uses information from the Business Rates system to support the key decision. This is available mid to late January, as such, this decision has been made exempt from Call In by the Chair of the Resources and Governance Scrutiny Committee in order to comply with the statutory requirement to notify precepting authorities in January 2020.
