To agree the estimated business rates surplus or deficit.

The Deputy Chief Executive and City Treasurer determines the Business Rates element of the estimated Collection Fund 2019/20 year-end surplus (or deficit).

The calculation of the estimated surplus (or deficit) is finalised using the latest data available during January to support the key decision.  As such, this decision has been made exempt from Call In by the Chair of the Resources and Governance Scrutiny Committee in order to comply with the statutory requirement to notify precepting authorities in January 2020.
