The Register of Key Decisions - August 2022 to November 2022 (01/08/2022 to 30/11/2022, Executive)

The Council is required by law to maintain and publish a Register of Key Decisions. Generally, a Key Decision is an executive decision that is likely to:
· have a significant impact on the local community living or working in two or more wards of Manchester; or
· result in significant expenditure or savings from the service budget to which the decision relates. In Manchester ‘significant’ is defined as involving expenditure or savings of more than £500,000 or 10% of the particular service budget (subject to a minimum limit of £50,000).
Decisions that fall within these criteria are classed as Key Decisions. If a decision is designated as a Key Decision, there are three consequences:
· It will be included in the Register of Key Decisions for a minimum of 28 days;
· A decision notice must be published when the decision is taken;
· It can be ‘called in’ for scrutiny in certain circumstances.
The Register of Key Decisions, is a list of all of the Key Decisions that will be taken by the Council after the 28 day period has lapsed. It includes Key Decisions to be taken by the Executive and by officers. It is published on the Council’s website on a monthly basis.
