Beach volleyball courts in Manchester
We the undersigned petition the Council to
Dear Manchester City Council,
We are petitioning to build 20 beach volleyball courts in Manchester. Currently, the nearest beach volleyball facility is an hour's drive away from Manchester, making it inconvenient and impractical for many residents to participate in the sport, especially residents below the age of 18 or residents without access to a car or sufficient finances to allow them to travel.
Manchester is home to many enthusiastic volleyball players who would benefit greatly from access to local facilities. By building 20 beach volleyball courts, the Council will provide opportunities for residents to play, train, and compete at a competitive level, without having to travel long distances.
Beach volleyball is a popular Olympic sport and is becoming increasingly popular in the UK. By providing these facilities, the Council will be promoting healthy lifestyles, community cohesion, and the growth of a sport that brings joy to so many people.
We urge the Council to consider our petition and take immediate and concrete steps to build 20 beach volleyball courts in Manchester.
