Speed Bumps Newton Heath
We the undersigned petition the Council to Enforce speed reducing measures, in the form of speed bumps, to our roads in Newton Heath. Surrounding areas all have speed bumps in order to reduce the amount of speeding drivers, however, speed bumps are missins from, Clough Street, Coleridge Street, Dymchurch Street, Ballantine Street, Amos Avenue, Ludgate Road, Seabrook Road, Culcheth Lane and Scotland Hall Road.
I think this petition is extremely important because our roads have become so unsafe and nothing is being done about it. Children are unable to play out on the streets due to speeding drivers. 20 mph zones have drivers doing 60-70mph. Drivers fail to break when turning corners, and it is a serious accident or fatality waiting to happen!! Something needs to be implemented to stop this from happening before it is too late. A tragedy should not have to happen in order to create change, but that is what we see all too often!!
