Levenshulme Boundary Roads
We the undersigned petition the Council to Tackle speeding, pollution and high traffic volumes on Broom Lane, Cromwell Grove/Barlow Road, Mount Road and Matthew's Lane.
Provide residents on these dangerous and polluted residential streets in Levenshulme with improved traffic calming measures (including speed tables, lane narrowing and chicanes), additonal crossings, width restrictions to prevent large HGVs and a full height kerb to separate the pavement from the traffic. Having witnessed two hit and runs outside my house in under 12 months it is time for MCC to do something about the speeding, noise, pollution and poor provision for pedestrians on these streets.
These roads include essential services for residents of the whole area, including bus stops, grocery shops, off licences, community centres, parks, pubs etc etc. and they are currently dangerous and unpleasant places to walk.
