Urgent Business

To consider any items which the Chair has agreed to have submitted as urgent.

Minutes:

The Chair agreed to the submission of the following items of urgent business, for which agreements had subsequently been reached with the Responsible Authorities and could therefore be treated as determinations:

 

  • Application for New Premises Licence – Hotel Brooklyn, 59 Portland Street, Manchester, M1 3HP
  • Application for a New Premises Licence – Tea Hive, 53 Manchester Road, Chorlton, Manchester M21 9PW
  • Application for a New Premises Licence – Barney’s Diner, 106 Wilmslow Road, Manchester M14 5AJ

 

In reaching its decision the Committee also considered the Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy, the Licensing Act 2003, the Regulations made there under and the Guidance issued by the Secretary of State under Section 182 of that Act and the licensing objectives.

The Committee considered the content of the application, the agreement reached with Licensing Out of Hours and the representation against the application. The Committee was satisfied that the applicant is a responsible operator and that the variation granted on these terms should not undermine the Licensing Objectives.

 

Decision

 

To grant the variation application, subject to the additional conditions agreed with Licensing Out of Hours

The Committee noted that the application was agreed by all parties prior to the meeting and was therefore treated as a determination.

 

In reaching its decision the Committee also considered the Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy, the Licensing Act 2003, the Regulations made there under and the Guidance issued by the Secretary of State under Section 182 of that Act and the licensing objectives.

 

Decision

 

To grant the application, subject to the agreement reached between the Applicant and the Responsible Authorities.
