The Hearing Panel considered a report from the Director of Planning, Building Control and Licensing concerning an application for a new Gambling Premises Licence at the above location. The Hearing Panel considered the written representations within the papers and the oral representations of the parties who attended the hearing, as well as the relevant legislation.

The applicant’s counsel addressed the Hearing Panel, noting that information had been received from Public Health shortly before 5.00pm the day prior to the hearing. They agreed to the information being before the Hearing Panel, however felt they required the opportunity to respond appropriately. With the time of the submission, the applicant’s counsel did not believe they, or the panel, had that opportunity. The applicant’s counsel requested that the hearing be adjourned.

The Hearing Panel considered the applicant’s request for an adjournment. The Panel agreed that it was appropriate to adjourn the hearing to allow for the applicant and their counsel to respond to the additional information submitted. Following the submission of their response, the Panel determined it was appropriate to not allow any further submissions as the hearing had now opened.

To adjourn the hearing until Wednesday 2 April 2025.
