Purpose:

To award a new corporate printing contract to the existing supplier of corporate print services.

Decision:

The Deputy City Treasurer took the decision to terminate the existing contract which is due to end in December 2022, and enter into a new contract with the incumbent supplier that will expire in December 2023 (RICOH) on improved terms.  The new two year contract allows MCC time to analyse printer volumes in the light of new ways of working before going to market to find a replacement printer service provider.  In addition, the two-year contract has net savings over current printer costs and the solution is also “carbon friendly” as the existing “assets” will be used for 12 months thus making better use of the embedded carbon in the existing machines.
